WTN: hailing a cab

by Paul Winalski » Sat Jun 04, 2022 12:58 pm

2013 Calistoga Cabernet Sauvignon, Chateau Montelena

Very deep, opaque purple color. Bountiful aroma, mainly cassis. Flavors follow the aroma. All is in excellent balance--no structural elbows sticking out. This wine is a joy to drink. It will probably improve over the next decade. The problem will be keeping my grubby hands off it. Triple Curly.

Sounds delicious. Makes me want to open a Montelena soon.
