  • 2018 Red Newt Cellars Riesling Tango Oaks - USA, New York, Finger Lakes, Seneca Lake (5/22/2022)
    Not the same level as the Knoll bottling I tried a few months ago, but still a good wine. Lime zest, nut skin, and some crunchy tree fruit provided aroma and palate interest. It was notably astringent on the palate, to the point of being puckery. Perhaps some age might loosen things up a bit. I don’t have enough background with these wines to know.
