In Franconia they make decent dry Scheurebe, eg Wirsching and Weltner , while Weltner's Saugignon Blanc is a strong internal competitor to his Scheu.
I am surprised to see you, David, asking for Scheurebe, while you are known as a SB-hater. They can be so similar that there even was a vintner in Franconia who had switched them, and mistakenly sold SB for Scheurebe and vice versa
