Been almost a year, so time to pull another bottle of this, and it’s doing what it always does, proving the “solar vintage” doubters wrong. No it won’t strip the enamel off of your teeth, but who really enjoys tooth pain? Drinking wine isn’t some masochistic macho-fest. Drinking wine is about pleasure, and there is plenty of that in this bottle. Time in the bottle has shed baby fat, but there is still plenty of fruit. Slimmed down, though not much more than last year, so it’s still got a little extra richness. Acids coming through on the finish, with a splash of bitter mango right at the end. Drinking well now, and for years to come.
