Shared this w/ Susan last night:
1. LimerickLane ElieO RRV/SonomaCnty RW (14.6%; 85% Syrah/15% Viognier) 2016: Very dark/near black color w/ some bricking; very strong blackberry/Syrah/boysewnberry/ripe/very spicy some RRV/peppery some toasty/Fr.oak bit ripe/licorice/chocolaty some complex lovely nose; lightly tart/tangy very strong blackberry/Syrah/boysenberry/spicy/peppery strong toasty/Fr.oak slight metallic/drying/astringent some complex flavor w/ light ripe/rich tannins; very long/lingering some hard/tannic/drying strong blackberry/Syrah/spicy/peppery some toasty/Fr.oak finish w/ some drying tannins; still loads of Syrah fruit but starting to dry out on the palate; drink up.

1. After 3 natural wine failures, I wanted something good to drink. This was barely it. Still had loads of Syrah fruit but starting to show a bit tired/astringent on the palate.

"but starting to dry out on the palate; drink up"

Surprised about that on a '16?

Yup.... very much so, Jenise. Shouldn't have been this far along.

LL wines are fabulous young. Aging them is a crap shoot, so drink up and enjoy!
