Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Colorino; made only in the best years, according to the blurb on the label.
Opaque. Meaty, spicy, savory nose. Faintly herbal. Soft, dry, and spicy. Pretty rich, smooth, and mouth filling. A little cocoa and plum. Good length. A bit surprised at the 15% alcohol since it was pretty easy to drink. Gets a little fruity on the finish. A very polished style. Pop and pour is fine, but has the stuffing to age, I think. A good match for the big flavors of pizza rustica.
