Picked up this interesting blend & tried last night:
1. Pable Fallabrino Notos (13.5%; 90% Nebbiolo/10% tannat; www.BodegasPabloFallabrino.Uy; BrazosWineImprts/Brooklyn/NY) Bodegas Pable Fallabrino/Atlántida/Canelones/Uruguay 2019: Med.dark color; somewhat earthy/loamy/SouthAmerica light floral/lilacs/dried cherries/Nebb slight pungent/tarry slightly perfumed nose; rather tart/bit acidic strong earthy/loamy/rustic/coarse very slight floral/Nebb flavor w/ some rough/coarse tannins; med.long coarse/earthy/loamy/rough slightly floral/Nebb finish w/ some coarse tannins; speaks loudly of a coarse/rough SA red and only suggestive of Nebb; not a good expression of Nebb. $17.50 (KK)

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. Many of the SouthAmerica reds have an earthy/loamy character that tends to dominate their wines. That SA terroir pretty much obliterated any high-toned character you'd expect from a Nebb wine.
