WTN: Magnienified

Last night with a dill/onion/nutmeg veal meat loaf:

2009 Michel Magnien Morey St. Denis 1er Cru Les Monts Luisants Pinot Noir
This has not progressed from two years ago. Initial black truffle nose with dried leaves from a cool, dark forest. A bit more hollow on the palate than expected after that, polished/filtered texture, more tannins than fruit. Tart, food a must.

Honestly surprised a 2009 is tart. Not exactly the signature of the vintage.

Nope, not at all. This is the third bottle in two years, they've all been like this.
