Forlorn-Hope CheninBlanc RorickHeritageVnyd/CalaverasCnty/SierraFoothills (12.37%; www.ForlornHopeWines.com) Murphys 2019: Med.yellow color w/ some small bubbles; quite pretty CB/pear/apple some chalky/perfumed talc bit spicy/poached pears lovely fragrant nose; fairly tart/tangy/slight metallic floral/CB/pear/apple fairly chalky/stony/mineral bright/zippy light-bodied totally dry lovely CB/slight Loire-like flavor; very long some tart/tangy bright/crisp/CB/pear/apple light chalky/perfumed talc lovely finish; a light-weight bright/brisk slight mineral quite pretty CB but not the minerality of a Loire. $34.00

Forlorn-Hope Asino Santo Barbera RorickHeritageVnyd (13.11%) 2018: Med.color; light earthy/loamy/mushroomy quite spicy/Barbera/Italian dried herbs slight pencilly/oak bit restrained/quiet nose; quite tart/tangy/bit metallic brisk/spicy/Barbera/dried herbs some earthy/loamy light pencilly/oak bit complex flavor w/ light tangy tannins; long tart/tangy bright/spicy/Barbera/dried herbs light earthy/mushroomy finish w/ light brisk tannins; a bright mild-mannered tangy expression of Barbera; quite a pretty expression of foothills Barbera. $32.00
