2002 Clos Badon Thunevin St. Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend
Needed 1-2 hours to fully open up. Initial gritty dark chocolate notes softened into excellent mature Bordeaux flavors. It's right bank but could fool as left bank with bold fruit, decent tannins and lack of green notes more typical of cabernet sauvignon than the cabernet franc and merlot it's made of. For something I paid $20 for long time ago and a vintage not widely appreciated, very very good.

2019 Ca‘ Rozzeria Aglianico Single Vineyard Campania IGT
Intense dark rose color, complex floral nose, excellent body, fruity and dry at the same time. Really loved this. If I'd purchased it locally instead of 150 miles from here, I'd rush right over for more.

2018 Harrington Sagrantino Calleri Vineyard San Benito County
This one seems clamped down a bit and more rustic than the bottle opened last August. Might be getting ready for a nap.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov

Nice when a $20 wine overperforms.
