WashPost: Jura Wines & Dinosaur Fossils

Interesting article in today's WashPost:
WashPost:JuraWine
in which this 8 yr old boy discovers the first dinosaur footprints in the Jura. Like a typical 8 yr old boy, they're always interested in dinosaurs....and swords.
The one thing that caught my eye is the statement thet "the fossils are full of salt & iodine". Francoise Ratte then makes this giant leap that because the fossils are in contact with the roots of the vines, they "play a role in the taste of the wine". Hmmmmm??? I wonder if this is what makes the Saxum JamesBerry Bonerock Syrah so distinctive. If it indeed is.

None of the producers it mentions are ones I'm familiar with. Wish the Jura wines were more widespreadly available.
