WTN: Moreau-ver

  • 2012 Domaine Christian Moreau Père et Fils Chablis Grand Cru Valmur - France, Burgundy, Chablis, Chablis Grand Cru (3/16/2022)
Pop and pour, but this was lovely from the outset. Bright acidity, a spritz of tangerine, and then it settles into a more classic tart citrus and oyster shell grove, but with a tiny touch of creaminess on the finish. Over time it gets more saline, but the tangerine note creeps back into the finish, making it even more interesting. Happy to win the aged Chablis gamble, and given how this bottle is showing I might continue to risk additional time with my last two. This is on a lovely path.

Sounds like a winner
I have liked the Christian Moreau wines in the past, but they have gotten fairly pricey in NY ($35 for Chablis, $60ish for 1ers, $100+for GC).Still I guess in today's market,,,,,

Exactly. This was $49.99. There's a reason I mostly buy Michel from Envoyer these days.
