WE: Forest Bathing

by TomHill » Mon Mar 14, 2022 1:12 pm

A rather bizarre article in WE on "forest bathing":
ForestBathing

It is a program some wineries are invoking in order to allow their customers to connect better with their wines and connect better with the terroir. Sorry....not what you expected, no nudity involved.

Sounds a bit too woo-woo for me.

If you can get past the silly name, it’s just a nature walk where you focus on what’s around you. We’ve all done it, just usually without a guide.

Nothing woo-woo at all.

Yes, we've all done it but for other reasons under other circumstances. As someone who's not a fan of gurus and guides, I'm with Tom here--too 'woo-hoo' for me as well. Oh, and I this statement startled me as what I'd read had already reminded of Japanese suicide forests: "Knobová ends by passing around a glass of wine and asking each participant to share their final thoughts." !!!
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
