A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. Verdeca is a grape variety apparently originating in Apulia. Also grown some in Emilia-Romagna. It is used mostly as a blending grape. It's parentage has not been identified that I could find, but it appears to have crossed w/ a Croatia red grape.
Minutolo is a variety originating in Apulia. It was one time called Fiano Aromatico, but it appears to not be related to Fiano and apparently has some Muscat Alexandria in its background.
These two both have a strong family resemblance. I slightly preferred the Minutolo for its greater aromatics.
