I haven't got into my 95 clarets much yet, in line with my "I will drink no wine before it's time' principle, but see some of them have hit prime time and some perhaps have gone a bit further.

I don't think that this Pomerol has gone too far, I just think that it never followed through on early promise. Decent nose, a colour that looks a bit older than most of the 95/96 wines, but not that much flavour interest in palate, and a shortish finish. Will try one more bottle before moving this to my Friday night (steak night) bin for current drinking. Maybe it was just a weak bottle.....

I think Bourgneuf can do very well in ripe vintages - I thought '98 was dynamite for price, and '90 pretty good. I haven't had the '95, but so many 95s have been awkward. I don't have many 95s left, and only RB ones are single bottles of Angelus and Conseillante. The latter is definitely not been a fun wine for the price. Hope last one shows better (I'm waiting)

I have 11 or 12 cases of 1995 (but that represents 44 different wines) which I tasted pre-release and felt had a lot of promise, but I am just getting into them. If anyone has tasted one that they feel is at a good place, let me know and I can try it if I have it.

Some I may never drink - the Petrus has appreciated around 10 times what I paid for it - the temptation to convert it into a case of something really nice is hard to overcome.
