2016 Gran Moraine Chardonnay, Oregon
Years back we had a bottle of the '15, which was like a diamond, brilliant and multi-faceted. So I ordered a sixpack of the '16 hoping for more of the same--didn't happen. On the fat side--less acidity, no brilliance, so surprisingly this last bottle is past peak. Drinkable, but oxidation's on the horizon.

It is. But if I were to have bet on which of '15 and '16 would merit the above difference, I'd have switched them around.
