2019 Two Vintners Grenache Blanc Weather Eye Vineyard Red Mountain
Very pale pearlescent color, aromatic nose with pear, peach and lime on the palate. Dry with more body and acidity than one expects from the grape based on Southern France versions. Serious and classy (as it should be for $40) from one of Washington's exciting new, cooler north-facing vineyards on Red Mountain.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov

I've always enjoyed the grenache blanc from Two Vintners - and most of everything they make - but this seems to be a new vineyard source. The price has sure gone up, though...

Yes, new vineyard source, probably 'in addition to' not 'instead of' the $20 model. And probably worth the price, at least to people willing to pay as much for an exceptional white as they do for red wines. This had a depth I don't recall finding in domestic grenache blanc before. The vineyard has been developed to create cool climate nuances in a hot climate, a genius move we should see a lot more of.

Checked listings for this vineyard on CT, btw, the other day. Besides II Vintners on this grape only, quite a few reds are being made by Liminal, Avennia Winery's newish premium label (in WA, that now means $80+ a bottle in 3-bottle packs).
