- 2017 Weingut Josef Leitz Rüdesheimer Berg Schloßberg Riesling Ehrenfels Großes Gewächs - Germany, Rheingau (2/14/2022)
Electric on opening, it settled down after a little while to a bright but sustainable place, with rich, dry peach fruit, sassafras accents, and a little snap of bitterness on the finish that made my mouth water. I admit to missing the glorious Spätlese wines from this site, but I do like what Johannes is doing with the dry wine program.

Leitz features downtown including a non-alcoholic sparkling wine.
