WTN: Couldn’t drag me away

  • 2018 Enfield Wine Co. Chardonnay Heron Lake Vineyard - USA, California, North Coast, Wild Horse Valley (2/13/2022)
18 months in the cellar took the edge off. Still bright and focused, but not so taut that it could cut. More depth to the fruit. More texture on the palate. What hasn’t changed is the energy. Shame on me for not buying six bottles.

Where is the winery anyway--Wild Horse Valley isn't familiar. Montereyish?
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov

Napa area, but he sources grapes from numerous areas. Such is the life of a winemaker without much estate vineyard land.

IIRC some other guy gets Tempranillo (among other things) from Shake Ridge. ;)
