Elegance. If I had to use only one word, it would be elegance. There’s more to say, starting with the dried cherry and pie crust aromas, and moving to the citrus tinged, red fruit palate, which reminded me of homemade cranberry relish with orange peel. I was suddenly watching the Detroit Lions play on Thanksgiving, and waiting for the turkey to come out of the oven. Bright acidity, and a dash of tannin framed a red cherry, cranberry fruit finish. Still needs time to add some tertiary complexity, but I don’t regret opening it this evening.
