The Bangkok-native proprietress of a local Thai restaurant told me that when she first arrived in the USA she had trouble not breaking out in giggles whenever someone ordered a Coke. Apparently that sounds very much like a Thai slang word for pubic hair.

I always felt a little bad for the Bret Brothers.
The thing with Bill's example is that it's a Nova Scotia wine, doubtful it's a translation issue.

I recall encountering a French restaurateur whose surname was "Garbage".

There is a supermarket chain in Massachusetts called Roche Brothers.
