Some Rieslings with Japanese BBQ.

2017 Theo Minges Gleisweiler Holle Kabinett.

Green tinged yellow. Peach apricot apple nutmeg on the nose. Initial entry thought is dryish, yellow stoned fruits, good balance and acidity. Very nice depth on the Pfalz wine.

1994Moselschild Erdener Pralat Spatlese.

WOTN without a doubt. Tangerine, citrus, great finish. Limited notes as I was concentrating on the various bbq food items.

2010 Hexamer Meddersheimer Rheingraffenberg Spatlese Nahe.

My wine contribution, very well liked. "Best nose so far" thought one taster (5 of us). Light copper color, great acidity, nice and mature in its window. honeyed, citrus, slate minerality, lime. Pineapple peach lycee as it aired.

2010 Donnhoff Niederhauser Hermannshohle Spatlese

"Fresh as a daisy"..thats it!

Nice set of wines. A range of ages. And everything went well with the food?

Now where did I bury my 2010 Hermannshohle?

Oh yeah, in the deep dark corner that requires excavation equipment. Oh well. ;)

Bob, that menu's insane!
