Interesting article in 750Daily:
https://daily.sevenfifty.com/the-small-producers-driving-the-west-coasts-riesling-revival/
On the Riesling Renaissance on the WestCoast.
They forgot ColeRanch, though.

Interesting read. Glad to see some additional recognition wherever and whenever.

Thanks for posting, Tom. Looking forward to the Bedrock 2018 & 2019 Wirz Vineyard Riesling. And the Handley Riesling 2017 Anderson Valley I bought as well.

Yes, very interesting read. I'd love to taste a riesling from that old Wirz vineyard, or was it Wurz. Re the 1.2 million cases of riesling produced by Ste. Michelle, they neglected to point out how much of that (the majority) gets shipped to Asia.

I don't know a lot about vineyard management--what does "head trained" mean?

Hi Jenise,
Head training is a very old pruning technique, possible used by the Romans. The pruned vines basically look like "Goblets". The fruiting canes are just draped around the trunk of the vine (no wire),

This might be helpful. They do rather resemble goblets.

Dan and Pat, thanks. I recognize the technique now (no trellis), just never knew it had a name.
