- 2019 Dönnhoff Niederhäuser Klamm Riesling Kabinett - Germany, Nahe (12/17/2021)
Juicy and vibrant, this is like going home. I have been drinking Dönnhoff wines for 30 years, and they always strike a chord, even when it’s a new vineyard, and the second generation winemaker in my experience. Peach and orange peel give way to a salty finish. It has notable sweetness, but the acidity to keep it in balance. Feels like a Kabinett that can go the distance and age for 20+ years. That said, I doubt I will have any left!

I think this was the second ever Klamm from Dönnhoff. Maybe third. It’s lovely, and a different flavor profile from Leistenberg. Makes for a nice contrast.

Great title.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
