2018 Domaine Vacheron Sancerre Guigne-Chèvres Sauvignon Blanc
CORKED. Fortunately, I had a backup:

Very pale straw color. Lush and taut at the same time with less of the green notes typical to Loire, no doubt a vintage thing and in our case a benefit, as it made a more perfect pairing for broiled lobster tails than either a more herbaceous sauvignon blanc or chardonnay at the other end of the spectrum would have.
2016 Domaine Gachot-Monot Côte de Nuits Villages Pinot Noir
CORKED. And again I had a backup:
2016 Domaine Gachot-Monot Côte de Nuits Villages Pinot Noir
Dark pinot fruit, florals, Vosne like spice, moss, and woodsy notes on the nose. Spice, sappy texture, and a mix of red and dark fruited pinot on the palate, with surprising depth for its designation. A little wood spice is done well. Long on the back end with some basil and floral perfume...an excellent value.
2015 Michelle Philipon Côte de Beaune Villages Pinot Noir
Mildly corked, so we went ahead and had a glass. I know Bill and John S. both have some of this and might be interested in its progress as some good flavors shone through. Fairly rich for both Beaune and Village level. Might have been the cork taint speaking but so rich that I'm not sure I'd have pegged this as pinot if served it blind.
