Starts off with a rich wash of fruit that flirts with a thick textural feel, but it moderates at the mid-palate, and finishes with a lash of cocoa dusted tannins. It’s not for the faint of heart, but also not completely over the top, as the structure keeps it in check, sort of like the electric fence kept the T-Rex under control in Jurassic Park. This reminds me very much of the Bevan Ontogeny, which makes sense given the winemaker. Nice way to end a tough week of work.
