A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. Kurt is a newphew of ChuckyWagner and was early-on making his wines at the Caymus wnry. He was the one who planted the (pergola-trained) Pinot vnyd on TaylorRidge for BelleGlos. So he knows what he's doing when it comes to growing/making wne.
This is, I believe, his last crop from AlRago's QueSyrah vnyd afore it was sold to the Arnot-Roberts folks. The QueSyrah Syrahs from A-R don't hold a candle to the ones that were made by EhrenJordan/Failla or Kurt.
The EnglishHills vnyd is one that Kurt planted & farms further to the SE.
