We had this last week at out DryCreekVnyds Cab tasting:
1. KoenigVnyds 45% PetiteSirah/55% Syrah EstateVnyd/SnakeRiverVlly (14.6%; www.KoenigVineyards.com) Caldwell/Idaho 2016: Black color; strong earthy/PS/bit spicy/peppery some blackberry/Syrah bit coarse/rustic nose; soft strong PS/earthy/peppery light blackberry/Syrah bit coarse/rustic/rough flavor w/ ample rough/chewey tannins; very lonf strong PS/earthy/bit peppery light blackberry/Syrah rough/rustic finish w/ ample tannins; speaks mostly of a bit oafish PS and a rather rough/coarse/rustic character; needs age.

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. Not ever had a wine from this producer before. They make a fairly interesting lineup of other varieties that I would like to try. It reminded more of WashState PS than anything, nothing distinctive that spoke of Idaho.
