While watching the Seahawks fall to the Steelers:
2016 Beckmen Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Santa Ynez Valley
Rich and ripe sweet huckleberry fruit, cola berry, and parsnip (yes, a sweet earthy root vegetable, it was there). Bigger tannins, lowish acid. Stops short of being obnoxious but still more a cocktail than a food wine, which surprises me coming from Beckman as I didn't think this was their style.
