NV Cremant D'Alsace Brut "Cuvee des Menestriers", Cave de Ribeauville

I found this heavily discounted at a NH State Liquor Store.

One word review: meh.
Two word review: mostly harmless.

It's possible to write computer instructions that, when executed, do nothing. For example, "LR 5,5" ("fetch the value currently stored in register five and store it in register five"). These are called no-operation instructions (NOOPs).

This is a NOOP wine. Nice, fine, fizzy bubbles, but almost no aroma or flavor. With the discount I don't feel ripped off, but one wonders why they bother to make wines like this. Triple Shemp.

I feel the same way about pretty much all Prosecco.

Why bother.
