WTN: A Real Sauternes Value...(short/boring)

by TomHill » Thu Sep 16, 2021 1:16 pm

Tried this new arrival at KoKoman the other night:
1. Emotions de la TourBlanche AC: Sauternes (13.5%; MeBalP; www.Tour-Blanche.com; Winebow)
Ch.LaTourBlanche a Bommes 2017
: Light gold color; lovely strong ripe/peach/Semillon figgy/light botrytis bit earthy lovely light-weight Sauternes bit complex nose; fairly tart/tangy lightweight Sauternes ripe peach/figgy Semillon/botrytis slight earthy light caramel/Fr.oak/butterscotch fairly sweet (5%-8% r.s.?) lovely flavor; very long lightweight Sauternes/figgy Semillon some botrytis/ripe peach bit complex finish; not a profound Sauternes but a really lovely lightweight Sauternes w/ nice botrytis at a great price; should improve for 2-8 yrs. $23.00/hlf (KK)

You need to place the trailing semicolon outside the URL link, not inside. Right now the link is broken.

Emotions de La Tour Blanche is their second wine. The most significant difference is that the grand vin is aged in oak barrels whereas Emotions sees no oak. At $23/375ml it indeed is a good value.
