Arrived ystrday, so had to crack a btl last night:
1. TablasCreekVnyd EspritBlanc de Tablas Estate/AdelaidaDist/PasoRobles (13.0%; 66% Roussanne/21% GrenacheBlanc/8% PicpoulBlanc/3% Picardin/2% ClairetteBlanche) 2018: Med.light gold color; strong floral/gardenias/carnations/honeysuckle bit apple/pear somewhat mineral/perfumed talc slight steely/metallic some aromatic nose; fairly tart/tangy rather mineral/chalky/perfumed talc light floral/honeysuckle/Rouss/gardenias bit metallic/steely/earthy/stony quite structured very interesting flavor; very long rather mineral/chalky/perfumed talc lightly floral/honeysuckle/Rouss/gardenias/bit pear bit steely/metallic/stony finish; not a typical TCV Rouss that usually has a powerful Rouss/honeysuckle character but very structured & mineral; rather tight/austere for a TCV Rouss & badly needs more age & should be a good one out to 10-15 yrs; resembles a bit a Cave Hermitage Blanc; not very lush & sensual right now. $31.50 (VIN)/$45.00

1. This wine was the Aug TCV special offer. These monthly offers are a screaming deal. This is the TCV flagship white & they typical need some age to really show what they can do.
