WTN: '03 Bordeaux (du Tertre)

I basically skipped the '03 vintage unless something dropped into my lap, as did three du Tertres for $21 ea back in 2007.

2003 Château du Tertre Margaux Red Bordeaux Blend
Decanted a mere 15 minutes before dinner, no sediment. Open and tasty, yet not big and flashy in the way I expected from such a ripe vintage. Sipped over two hours, and the fruit faded in the last hour. That surprised too as our only previous bottle in 2019 was quite tight. Will consume our remaining bottle sooner than later.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov

I also avoided 2003, but I also bought one wine - Branaire-Ducru. We should have a 'hot vintage' tasting some time.

(Or we could do a du Tertre vertical - still have an 82 of that one somewhere).

I bought two others: two Pontet Canet because I love that house and figured it might be academic to have one someday, and four Moutons which I rescued from the local Costco at $199 ea knowing they'd jump in value (current auction value per CT: $600 ea). So yeah, I can do a hot vintage theme. I've dumped most others, even the Cuvee de Capo I (and you) bought at Pegau in Chateauneuf. Curious as I would be to taste it I know I'd never love it and since someone was willing to buy it from me for about $400 last year, I let it go.
