- 2015 Enfield Wine Co. Syrah Haynes Vineyard - USA, California, Napa Valley, Coombsville (8/30/2021)
Been following this wine from when it was released, and it’s traveling along a very high plateau. There’s still some positive incline, but it’s in a high place with a beautiful view. No supplemental oxygen required! Every classic Syrah virtue is there, accentuated by California sunshine. What I absolutely love is the balance point. It’s not strutting high acid just to prove it’s cool. It’s enjoyable to drink. It’s good with food and good without food. There’s ten plus years of excellent or better drinking ahead for this wine.
