- 2018 Division Winemaking Company Pinot Noir Deux Eola Springs Vineyard - USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Eola - Amity Hills (8/21/2021)
Division Winemaking Company does not get enough attention. Thomas Monroe and Kate Norris have created a fascinating enterprise that covers a wide range (Pinot, Chard, Gamay, Cab Franc, etc.) with a consistently high level of quality. The 2018 ‘Deux’ Pinot Noir from the Eola Amity Hills is amazingly full flavored while still having an ethereal palate presence. Red cherry fruit and herbal/earthy undertones are backed up with citrus acids and there’s a balanced tannic backbone. It’s built to develop.
