- NV Pierre Péters Champagne Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Brut Cuvée de Réserve - France, Champagne, Champagne Grand Cru (8/20/2021)
May 2019 disgorgement
Served with steamed lobster, butter (for me) and lemon (for Laura) this kept up its end of the bargain, pairing perfectly with dinner, and showing the high quality of this particular disgorgement. Deeper, and a bit less linear than some editions, it still finished with bracing acidity. The extra degree of body was better suited to the buttery lobster, where it cut through richness. Still all crisp tree fruit and citrus, there is also the beginnings of pie crust complexity. Probably 3-5 years from coming fully into its own, but a wonderful glass of wine now.

Wine cellar here I come. Luckily we are 50 miles from the coast. Still going to be very windy and rainy, but hopefully not so much in the apocalyptic zone.
