2004 Château Picque Caillou Pessac-Léognan Red Bordeaux Blend
Finally has that good old Bordeaux smell: specifically, old wet wool and used coffee grounds on black cherry compote. Color purple with brown edges. Acidity and tannins decent. It's very drinkable--not quite over the hill but heading there.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov

That was a lighter syled wine I drank early, but thought good QPR- $9!
Think I still have 1 or 2 '05s, as more structured vintage.

Yes, I saw your name on an old tasting note on CT, and remember discussing them with you here back in the day. Didn't get as good a price as you did but didn't pay much for the 9 or 10 bottles I did end up with. They were pleasant but never compelling, almost new worldish. I pulled this one the other night for no good reason. Probably have 3 more.
