WTN: Three Idlewild Flora & Faunas...(short/boring)

Had these three last night:
1. Idlewild TheBee Flora&Fauna WhiteWine NorthCoast (11.6%; www.IdlewildWines.com; Arneis/MuscatCanelli) 2017: Med.light gold color; lovely very fragrant floral/Arneis-like/carnations/slight muscatty some chalky/mineral/stony quite perfumed nose; fairly tart/tangy some floral/carnations/spicy/cardamon slight petrol/valve oil some minerally/chalky/stony/bit perfumed talc bit complex lovely flavor; very long rather floral/carnations/very spicy/cardamon/rather Arneis-like some chalky/mineral/stony slight muscatty bit complex finish; somewhat of a lightweight but very pretty & very spicy & developing quite nicely; the muscat is pretty low-key; better than many Piemonte Arneis. $20.00

Idlewild Flora&Fauna RedWine MendoCnty (12.9%; Dolcetto/Barbera) 2019: Med.dark color; strong earthy/dusty rather grapey/Dolcetto-like bit spicy/Barbera light pencilly/oak bit rustic/Italiante quite attractive nose; fairly tart/tangy rather grapey/spicy/Dolcetto/Barbera fairly earthy/dusty rather rustic/Italiante flavor w/ modest rough tannins; long some grapey/Dolcetto/Barbera/spicy/dried Italian herbs light earthy light pencilly/oak finish w/ light rough tannins; a quite pleasant rather rustic/Italiante/earthy red that speaks clearly of Dolcetto and some of Barbera; quite pleasant red at an attractive price. $25.00

Idlewild TheBird Flora&Fauna RedWine MendoCnty (12.8%) 2017: Med.color w/ some bricking; much lighter some grapey/Dolcetto/earthy bit cedary/tired/aged nose; fairly tart bit tired/aged some grapey/earthy/leathery/oldDolcetto bit rough/rustic flavor w/ light/drying tannins; med. some cedary/pencilly/oldRed/leathery nslight grapey rather rough/rustic/drying/tired finish w/ light coarse tannins; showing its aged already & a rather tired/drying/rustic red; some like a 10 yr old Piemonte Dolcetto. $20.00

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. The Idlewild inexpensive red & white blends are a yearly buy for me. The '17 white was in very good shape, but I was surprised at how far along the '17 red was. The '19 red was pretty typical good-drinking red at a very good price.

I had the '17 red not long ago, and it was not at all tired. Let me check my notes/inventory. Maybe time for another soon. Not like I don't drink that wine at least once a month.

Well, David.....I was just expecting more from this one. I have one more left & will try it in the next few weeks.
