WTN: 2020 Adega de Penalva Dao Branco, Portugal

Been a while since I last posted on a white from Portugal. This Dao Branco has SC, $19 Cda, 12.5%alc.
Large cooperative, 40% Encruzado, 30% Cercial, 30% Malvasia.

Color is a pale lemon, no green. Lively aromatics after it opened up...green apple, white stonefruit but thought the floral aspects were rather restrained initially.
Entry thought was dry but as the wine opened up, found some rs on the finish. Lemon, peach, subtle herbs. Fair acidity, medium to light bodied. Interesting wine with more minerality on day 2.
Food was Chicken Cordon Bleu.

Nice one, Bob. How was the heat in BC? We're having a cold, wet and windy summer here but that is preferable IMO to stifling heat and wildfires.

At lower altitudes it was very hot most days 35-40. I was butterflying at mostly higher altitudes. Plenty of iced water!
