Friends over for dinner- oysters, onigiri, hami melon with prosciutto, bulgogi, salmon, Shanghai tips, and rice

NV R de Ruinart Brut Champagne
Full, rich, toasty. B

2018 Heritiers du Comtes Lafon St. Veran
Rich for Macon (as expected), integrated oak, pear and butterscotch, good length. B+

2015 Darnaud “Les Trois Chenes” Crozes-Hermitage

Straightforward juicy Syrah, not a lot of complexity. B-

Over to some friends patio, they served charcuterie, halibut, Swiss Chard, and quinoa.

NV Bisol Jeio Prosecco

Crisp and straightforward, I liked. B

2020 Lauverjat Sancerre Rose
Strawberries and cherries, good acids, fun. B

At park concert on a hot night, Gravlax, shrimp/avocado/tomato salad, prosciutto

2017 Pepiere Briords Muscadet
Wet rocks on steroids, my kind of wine! A-/B+

2014 Breton “Nuits d'Ivresse” Bourgueil
Foul - very corked, damn.

2020 Brezette Cotes de Provence Rose
Empty, dilute, cold. C+

Grade disclaimer: I'm a very easy grader, basically A is an excellent wine, B a good wine, C
drinkable. Anything below C means I wouldn't drink at a party where it was only choice.Furthermore, I offer no promises of objectivity, accuracy, and certainly not of consistency.

I prefer eskers and drumlins in my Muscadet.
