WTN: Running Up That Old Hill

by David M. Bueker » Mon Jul 05, 2021 7:43 pm

  • 2019 Once & Future Wine Zinfandel Old Hill Ranch - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Valley (7/5/2021)
The Once & Future wines continue to come across as the best of Ravenswood and Bedrock in a single bottle. The depth sappy qualities of the Bedrock wines, combined with the structure of the old Ravenswood bottlings makes my mouth water every time. This Old Hill has all that in abundance, with rich, plummy fruit and bright acidity to keeps things fresh and focused. Drink now and over the next twenty years if history is any guide.

My work is done!

(Dale - Once & Future is Joel Peterson's gig. He even got his old redwood tanks from Ravenswood.)
