Had these two F-H whites over the last two days:
1. Forlorn-Hope LaGitana Torrontes SilvaSpoonsVnyd/Lodi/Calif (12.85%; 77 cs) MatthewRorick/Fairfield 2012: Light gold color; rather floral/carnations slight herbal/musky/zennias bit SB-like slight earthy rather attractive nose; bit soft slightly sour some floral/carnations slight herbal/SB-like bit musky flavor; med.short soft slight metallic/tangy light floral/carnations bit earthy/musky/bit hair-oil finish; quite a pretty nose but doesn't deliver a whole lot on the palate; still quite fresh and shows no signs of being 9 yrs old; not the perfumed crisp/bracing fragrance of an Argentine Torrontes.

2. Forlorn-Hope QueSaudade Verdelho Calif (13.58%; 457 cs) 2012: Med.gold color; pleasant floral/carnations slight chalky/earthy bit simple nose; bit soft slight tangy/metallic light earthy/chalky slight floral somewhat bland/simple flavor; med.long pleasant floral/carnations light chalky/earthy bit simple/eviscerated finish; a pleasant enough white but just that; no signs of 9 yrs of age and probably not going anywhere.

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. Like many of the Forlorn-Hope whites, these two just left me wanting a little bit more. Neither showed much evolution that you'd expect of a 9 yr old white. His skin-contact/Vini Macerati whites typically show a lot more evolution than these two.
