My shipment from the Prima IlConsorzia club arrived last week, so I tried the other night:
1. MesaGiunco Primo Bianco Dd'OC: Vermentino di Sardegna (13%; L.19-036; SM USA Imprts/MiamiBeach) 2018: Light gold color; fairly strong Verm/floral/carnations strong saline/chalky/mineral bit steely/metallic bit coarse quite interesting nose; bit soft slight metallic fairly rich/lush light floral/Verm/carnations somewhat earthy/mineral/saline/perfumed talc bit coarse/rustic interesting flavor; med.short rather tangy/metallic/saline/chalky/savory light Verm/floral/carnations bit coarse/rustic finish; shows a lot of the typical Sarninia coarse/rustic/saline character; lacks the high-toned perfume of a good Ligurian or Calif Vermentino.
$12.78 (PrimaIlC)

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. The Prima IlConsorzio is one of the favorite wine clubs I continue to remain a member of. JohnRittmaster always comes up w/ some interesting wines to try. Always reasonably priced. Always fairly interesting. Seldom anything profound. Only rarely, maybe once a yr, to I find one that I want to reorder.
