WTN: Champagne Billecart Salmon Rosé NV

Lockdown Wine #106. Well, not really a tasting note. Needed a wine to go with the leftover prime rib and a lobster my mom gave me for Father's Day. I figured a rosé champagne should work fine. I think this is one of the best NV rosés out there, and has been a favourite of mine for a long time. Worked exceptionally well with both dishes. Aside from a glass for the wife (she doesn't drink much), I finished the whole bottle by myself. I really miss opening 750s of champagne. I've been drinking mostly 375s since this lockdown started. Was thinking of maybe doing a sabrage, since that's another thing I normally do every New Year, but also missed this year, but didn't want to spill any since it's my last bottle. Since I didn't seem to have any trouble finishing it, I may try opening more full bottles of other champagnes in the future, even if I have no one to share them with.

One of my favorite rose champagnes. I even have 2 magnums of it I am waiting for the right time to open. The "right time" will be when we have enough people over to enjoy it properly.

Start opening those full bottles, Jay, live it up.

Indeed - I have always thought a 750 was a single serving size for Champagne.

Yes, in my younger days, no problem. I'm slowing down, unfortunately.
