Tried this wine last night:
1. VerSacrum GeishaDragon del Desierto WW IG:LosChacayes/UcoVlly/Mendoza/Argentina (70% Viog/20% Marsanne/10% CriollaBlanca; 13.5%; BrazosWineImports/Brooklyn) 2020: Light gold color; fairly fragrant pear/Viog/peach slight earthy/chalky/metallic bit rustic rather pleasant nose; quite tart/tangy some pear/Viog/peach some earthy/rustic/coarse pleasant enough flavor; med. tart/tangy bit rich rather earthy/chalky/rustic/coarse/bit metallic light pear/Viog/peach/floral finish; a pleasant enough white but nothing more; a bit on the coarse/rustic side & speaks of Viog with a whisper; a pleasant enough nose but a bit vapid on the palate. $17.00 (KK)

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. A new wine that just came into Kokomans. It shows a lot of the same character than many SouthAmerician whites show in that it's a bit on the coarse side. They do much better w/ Torrontes for a high-toned white.
These varieties were co-fermented. Matured in concrete eggs, about 10% of the wine was matured in oak casks under a veil of flor. I did not pick up this character in this wine, though.
