Had these two last night w/ DinDin:
1. ColumbiaCrest Chard GrandEstates/ColumbiaVlly (13.5%; www.ColumbiaCrest.com) V&B by ColumbiaCrest/Patterson/WA 2019: Med.light yellow color; pleasant lemony/melony/Chard/bit grapefruity light pencilly/oak slight perfumed talc/potpourri rather quiet/subdued nose; rather soft light melony/Chard/lemony/citric slight pencilly/oak slight perfumed talc rather quiet/low-key pretty uninteresting flavor; med.short soft/lush light Chard/melony/lemony/bit celery seed light pencilly/oak quiet bit vapid finish; just a bit too much toward vapid/uninteresting for my taste; move along, folks, nothing to see here; overpriced at $7.50 (SM)

2. CedarvilleVnyd {PetiteSirah} NaylorVnyd/ElDorado (15.4%; 75 cs; www.CedarvilleVineyard.com) FairPlay 2018: Very dark/near black color; very strong earthy/mushroomy/ElD strong vanilla/Am.oak light blackberry/PS/low fruit rather rustic/oafish nose; soft quite earthy/mushroomy/ElD/root cellar slight PS/blackberry some vanilla/oak rustic/oafish/coarse flavor w/ ample chewey tannins; somewhat soft strong earthy/mushroomy/loamy/ElD rather structured slight blackberry/PS some Am.oak/vanilla finish w/ ample rough tannins; a rather earthy/loamy/mushroomy low-fruit expression of PS; the ElD terroir tends to amplify the oafish/coarse/rustic side of PS; probably a good dose of Grenache or Zin would give this some much needed brightness; plenty of structure & tannin but don't really see this ever becoming an interesting wine. $26.00

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. ColumbiaCrest: I saw a post a week ago about this wine being a good Chard for under $10. So thought I would try it. Shouldn'thave bothered. Too dull to waste my alcohol consumption on.
