France is a couple of decades behind California in the development of wine tourism but is now trying to catch up
https://www.oenotourisme.com/ . Obviously the bigger estates with export businesses and the ability to deploy or hire foreign language speakers, mainly for English, are in the forefront of this development.
Personally I regard this with misgivings. I love making appointments with quite small growers when passing through a wine region and being received by the vigneron himself/herself or a member of his/her family who can give in depth explanations and can better communicate the souls of their wines. I do not relish the generalisation being asked to pay a tasting fee (even if it is credited against purchases) and like even less being shown around by a hostess who gives the impression of simply parroting a lesson.
