- 2019 Bedrock Wine Co. Zinfandel Monte Rosso Vineyard - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Valley (6/6/2021)
Everyone said don’t open this, but I really wanted to try it. Two hours in a decanter opened it up quite a bit, and revealed the classic Monte Rosso expression. It reminded me more than a little of the old Ravenswood Monte Rosso Zins with the level of detail on the palate, as if fruit and spice were digitally imprinted on the wine.
I likely will not try another bottle for several years, but this is not some crime against the wine. Give it some air, and enjoy the good stuff.
