- 2018 DuPuis Syrah Baker Ranch - USA, California, North Coast, Anderson Valley (6/2/2021)
Spicy, peppery, but for my taste much too too candied fruity to make a solid Syrah. Each sip has elements I really love, then there’s a sugary presence on the finish that just mars the overall impression of the wine. Not happy to say it, and frankly shocked, as the other Dupuis releases I have tried were lovely expressions. This one is a notable disappointment.
