[*]2017 Enfield Wine Co. Chardonnay Old Vines Haynes Vineyard - USA, California, Napa Valley, Coombsville (5/29/2021)
My last bottle of three, and it feels like a seriously missed opportunity that I did not buy more. The fruit is really blossoming now, and it has such depth. There's a long upside for this wine, and I am not going to see it. Balance, freshness, rippling acidity & a long, salt-crusted lemon drop finish has me reaching for the glass again before I have even swallowed. Bravo to John Lockwood.

Sounds heavenly. I've never even laid eyes on an Enfield white. Btw, I don't follow California vintages much anymore, but I've gathered that '17 chardonnays from quality producers are going to reward they who hold, which is why I'm holding onto Ceritas, Massican and a few others before even tasting a first bottle. Is this actually the case of did I put 2 and 2 together and get 5 (again)?
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov

2017 is really good. I am not that familiar with the aging curves of California Chardonnays (save Ramey), so not sure if your 2+2 is 4, 5, or 12.
